오늘날 한국어는 사용자 수가 7500만에 이르는 세계13위 정도의 비중 있는 언어가 되었으며 한류 확산과 함께 전세계에서 한국어 학습 수요가 매우 높습니다.
한국어를 배움으로 인해 미국에서 한인2세로써 더 나은 미래를 준비할 수 있으며 또한 역사를 통해 과거 우리의 조상들에게서 지혜를 배울 수 있습니다.
타코마제일 한국학교 에서는 우리 한인2세들의 한국어 교육과 한국 문화 교육을 통한 정체성 확립을 위해 노력하고 있습니다. 현재 영숙 고링 교장선생님을 비롯하여
여러 교사들이 헌신하고 있으며, 수십명의 학생이 한글을 배우고 있습니다.
타코마 제일 한국학교는 미국 정규 학교와 마찬가지로 9월에 학기가 시작되어서 6월에 학기가 끝나며 수준별로 기초반, 중급반, 고급반 등으로 나누어져 매주 금요일
오후 6시부터 9시까지 수업이 진행 되고 있습니다.
Over 75 million people all over the world speak Korean. Korean has become the 13th most used language worldwide, after K-POP and Korean dramas
gained popularity. For second generation Koreans, learning how to speak, read, and write in Korean, help to prepare them for a better future.
The goal of Tacoma First Korean School is to try to make the Korean language and culture easier to learn for second generation Koreans.
Students that are not Korean are also more than welcome to come and learn. Korean School begins every year in September and ends in June.
Class occurs every Friday from 6 PM to 9 PM. The classes are separated by the knowledge levels of the students.
